Rotary Park – Wednesday – July 3 – in front of holiday

July 3 @ 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm MDT

Free

We are back in the north for all those FC folks and here is an opportunity to come out and work exclusively on stone steps. We are to install lots of stone steps to act as check steps in drainage issues, install some drainage’s, close down some renegade trails. We will have lots of company with the active user group there – climbers. Parking passes will be needed for your vehicle to avoid getting a ticket. CATS members can throw up their CATS parking card [old issue ] – but will still need a Larimer County pass.

We are going to work on some areas that need some real rock work! The climbers have their own trails to get to the boulders. Some trails are overused and eroding and others are socialized and need to be closed. We have been tasked to install a considerable amount of check steps to stop the erosion of the main trails and close off some unwanted migrations. This is tight work, rock shopping, hands and knees type grunt work – but real satisfying – especially if you remember the 40 + steps we installed at Duncan Ridge last year. For all the northern CATS – this is in your space – so we hope to see more locals on the jobsite.
